Lex's New Words

Lex is a chatter box by nature.. he gets it from his father and grandmother Williams. He is doing well identifying his body parts... the main ones that he needs to know for Pre- K 4 and kindergarten. We are working on shoulders, but he has elbows, knees, ankles, and of course the normal for his age- eyes, ears, mouth, nose, cheek, chin, belly, toe, fingers, hands, feet, head, hair, and of course wee-wee. He is also forming four and five word phrases, most of the time they do not make sense, but he gets his point across regardless. If there was a program for two year olds, I would have him in it.

Speaking of wee-wee... Lex is going pee pee on the potty. The grandmothers have been working on this with him and on Thursday there was success. Lex was with Scott's mom and they called me at work for Lex to tell me on speaker phone (yes, something was wrong with the phone lines) "Mommy, pee-pee potty me!" I laughed so hard and was excited. He has gone many times since and went for me last night at my parents house. Hopefully this is a good sign of more things to come.

So to sum it up... the accomplishments Lex has made this summer are:

1. Knows where Jack is in mommy and absolutely loves Jack!!
2. Sleeps in his own bed ALL night long (for the most part).
3. Pee- peeing in the potty.

They are definitly small things for adults, but this is a major thing for a stubborn 2 year old. By the way he gets his stubborness honestly from BOTH sides of teh family.
