So I call mom and Scott to tell them, niether one of them believes me!! Scott was on his way to get his car fixed for the last time in Dundalk and mom was home with Lex and dad. We decided that mom would come with me seeing she is closer and we did nto need Scott's car to break down anymore. Aunt Melba and Millie are called and do not hesitate to take Lex over night.
Mom and I head to the hospital, check in and learn that even when Scott gets there he is not allowed back to triage because it is a one person ONLY thing because of the flu. Even if the original person leaves, the other person cannot come back. It sucked. But in the long run, Scott was able to come back because after waiting almost 3.5 hours for the blood results, they were admitting me. My liver enzymes were a little high and my platlett count was a little low. This was the beginning of HELLP syndrome. So off to room 111 in Labor and Delivery were headed. The great part was (1) this was the same room I was in after having Lex for four days and (2) my doctor's wife was the nurse on duty for some of that time. She is just as nice as he is. I was hoping to have her again!!
So anyway, I try to get some sleep but I am contracting at this time every 2-3 minutes. I had three pelvic exams done in this 24 hour period. I HATE THEM!! I thought my eyeballs were going to pop out. I was only 2 cm dilated. So we wait for more blood work. I have to do a 24 hour Urine Test (which I am finishing up tonight at home and taking over for 9:30). By 11:00 today Dr. M came in and said I have to go home (insurance thing- cannot take too early, etc) and assured me that I could make it until next Wednesday when I am scheduled for my C-section with him. He even said he would try to deliver Jack at 11:11 that day too.
So now I wait!! Contractions are still there, but not as bad. I am tired but will sleep tonight. Scott is exhausted so he went home to feed the kitties and spend some time with them and he is going to work tomorrow. Lex is sleeping over at Aunt Melba and Millie's tonight again. He is having a ball.
