New this week

Since last weekend we have been majorly busy. Last Saturday we attending Scott's co-worker's wedding. It was weird because we were not the youngest, but not the oldest people there, we were in the middle. I felt old though!! Don;t get me wrong, I am not worried about turning 29 or even 30 for that matter. I do not feel that old (well I did not last week end... I will explain later in this blog). Scott was exhausted and I was getting tired.I have to say that I did get to wear a dress I was shocked to have purchased because of the size (8 petite). I actually think I look horrible in this picture, but it is one of the better that we have.

Then on Sunday, my parents came up to the house to bring the vacuum and some other things. Mom and I went to the Bel Air Festival and found some really nice things. Mom thinks that she will set up next year. We also ran some other errands while Scott and Dad watched football until they went to get Lex from Grand mom and Pop-pop's house. When they got home it was just in time to watch the Raven's game...
Both Daddy and Lex were dressed for the occasion and ready for the action!! Mom and I were upstairs fixing dinner for the men.

Lex was really into the game... in fact he loved it so much he wanted a front row seat nose to nose with the players. It actually looked as if he was examining what the players were doing. This picture (above) was taken when we went to IKEA to get some replacement parts for mommy's dresser. I cannot wait until tax season. I think that I am going to get some new bed room furniture with our refund. I am not counting my chickens before they hatch though because of the economy. But a girl can always wish.

During the week we were helping to move furniture out of Grand mom's apartment. Lex was having fun most of the time with Aunt Jen. It was an anti-mommy day on Monday when Aunt Jen was around. It felt kinda weird not having Lex climb all over me. I am not complaining. It was kinda nice. Lex loves his Aunt Jen and is going to miss her when she goes on her trip.

Other than that this week, I have been coming home everyday tired, but still I have been doing school work. I do not think that I will ever get done mapping!!! I think that I am getting somewhere and then I realize that I have to do something else. And if one more person says "well teachers have weekends and summers off" I am going to scream. Some teachers go home and do nothing, but I do not. I am constantly thinking of new things to do with the class and doing school work. I needed to get that off my chest.

In Lex's news... he is saying "Quack quack" and "Mooo" all the time now. We think that he said "Sure did" at dinner tonight. It sounds like he is saying more than he does. It is so cute having conversations with him now. He has the best facial expressions also. Lex is also doing the movements that I do when I sing The Wheels on the Bus.

Well it is 11:00 on Saturday night and I am still up!!! This is a major accomplishment for Scott and I . We are adults :O) again. I actually was just grading papers before I wrote this.

I think tomorrow we will go to the store and get some more mums for the garden. I will post a picture if this happens tomorrow. I would also like to decorate for Halloween.
