New School = New Beginnings

I have been moving into my new classroom this week. I first went on Monday to see the classroom and to drop off a few boxes. I quickly realized that I was going to have to be the people from Clean House. There was so much stuff in the room from back in the early 90's. I was in middle school! I think that the materials and information have changed since then, especially about the Chesapeake Bay. THe science stuff was not organized in any fashion, and there were things in the classroom I know have either NEVER been used or have not been used in MANY years.

Today my dad and I brought more boxes and began the cleaning process. We arrived at school at 9 a.m. and by 12 noon purging was complete! Now to begin decorating and organizing my stuff. I got a lot done, but realized that I have a lot more to bring and to set up.

I am beginning to get nervous, but my coworkers are all nice and are very helpful. I just need to get focused and talk to them about everything that is going on at the school. I have never tought middle school. I am not worried about the curriculum, but about know all that goes on and the rules and procedures that are already in place.

No, I am wrong... I am nervous about one thing- Science Fair!! I ahve to got started working on this. I have a lot to live up to, but I think that sometimes change is good and my cowrokers seem to think that also.
