What I "LOVE" about SNOW

The snow finally stopped falling around 3:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon. I was in the process of cleaning off our back deck. That was a chore. I came in around 4:30 p.m. to fix the rest of dinner. I made stew on the crock pot so now I had to make corn bread. Dinner was served at 5:15. Lex ate corn bread only with butter on it of course. Hey if it gets him to eat something I am okay with that.

After dinner I decided to take Lex out for a little bit while I began to dig out our cars. Mainly Scotts. As I am working, I realize that our very nice, considerate neighbor has piled his snow from around his car and road in front of Scott's car. I do understand that we are in town homes and there is really no place to put the snow, but come on people, let's at least be a little considerate.

This morning I went out to finish the cars. I only have the snow from the road to do so we can get the cars out. As I was digging Scott's car out, you know from the snow from the neighbor, our neighbor comes to his front door to watch. "Yes, mister neighbor, I am digging out my husbands car with no added help from you!!" Many words were doing though my head at this time.

Therefore-- things I hate about snow:

1. the amount- this is rediculous. We are not in Alaska or the upper mid-west for that matter
2. wonderful, helpful neighbors
3. Townhome living
4. muscles that ache
5. no movies on t.v.
6. being cold... I am still cold from shoveling

Just another rant...

Why do people ask you "if this is okay with you" when their minds are already made up? I know that I was put on this planet to please others, but guess what, I have grown as a person. I have two children and I do know what is best for them. I need to experience parenthood for myself without others telling me how to do it.

I feel better now :O)
