Busy Weekend

This weekend has been very busy for all of us. It all started last Thursday. We had field day at school. We were outside ALL day long. It was a gorgeous day. The sun was shining bright and there was no clouds int eh sky, therefore lets just say I look like a lobster on my arms and shoulders. But it is okay. I am already turning tan. And yes, for all of my mothers out there, I had sunscreen on!! That night Scott, Lex, and I went to my parents house for dinner with Megan, Ben and Skip. Lex was able to play with a smaller baby... it was quite cute. Lex does not realize that Ben is smaller than he is and therefore he has to be gentle. But, Lex is used to playing with older kids/ toddlers. I think having this baby will be a great surprise and lesson for Lex. But I also think that he will be a great big brother and an excellent helper for mommy. Here are some pictures of Lex and Ben.

Friday was a busy day as well. Mom came to pick me and Lex up around 10 a.m. We went to the furniture store for me to order my bedroom furniture. I was hesitant at first but then as my grandmother said... "you should do it while you are young otherwise I am going to turn out being old wishing I had sone things when I was younger." Point taken, so I let loose and ordered our furniture. It will be delivered on Thursday of this week. I am excited. But now I have to move our clothes (which I am not wearing at the time so it should not be diffucult for me), Scott however will be living out of clothes baskets for a couple days. I am sure he will not mind at all!! After that we went to the mall, walked around, had lunch, then we were off to Mrs. Cindy's studios for Lex's 2- year photos. He did well in his casual clothing, but when we put him in his wedding day attire, he did nto want anymore pictures taken. We got a few and I know Mrs. Cindy will work her magic and make them look great. After that it was off to the doctors office for my 14 week check-up. I went back alone, but Lex wanted to join so Mom and he got to come in and were able to hear the baby's heartbeat. Lex was amazed. I wish I could have had video of it. I think that he realized that there really is a baby in mommy's belly and he is just not kissing mommy's fat. After that it was off to home to meet daddy. Yea... it only took an hour and a half!! In that time I could have flown to Florida, written a book, read a book, graded all of my school papers, or been home for 40 minutes. Lex fell asleep in the car and slept until 7 a.m. Saturday morning.

Saturday, we did some running. I had to go to the bank... Provident was merging with M & T... This merger SUCKS!!! It was our payday weekend and of course the internet banking was shut down Friday afternoon, when we are paid therefore I could not get a balance. At the bank they could not even give me a balance. They kept saying that because we have direct deposit our pay is the same week to week. NOT!!! Mine changes a few cents every pay, not to mention sometimes there is overtime for Scott, definitly not me, and pay raises. With it also being a holiday weekend, we will not get our paystub until Tuesday. This SUCKS!!!!! I am definitly switching banks. While int he bank I did not cry, I waited until I was outside to do that.

After that we went to Arundel Mills Mall. I found Lex some more birthday gifts-- cheap from the Disney Store and afew things for me. Other than that... not too exciting. Dad and Mom came up that night to bring their lawn mower, (ours needs to be fixed) and we had a littel cook out. It was nice. While Scott was taking care of the lawn, Lex was playing with the rain water in the cooler on our deck...

Today, Lex was with his Grandparents Williams. I got some much needed cleaning done. I also did about 8 loads of laundry. I have to now finish folding them and putting them away as much as a I can. I dusted, vacuumed, cleaned both bathroom, cleaned out the linen closet and began to think about emptying the spare bedroom to make room for baby.I pulled out Lex's sand box out back and decided that that would take more time than I had to clean it and add water to the water side. Maybe tomorrow morning. We are also getting ready to take stuff up to my parents house to trade and to sell. Now, Lex is asleep, Scott is watching Batman Begins, and I am on the computer. I taught myself how to burn a cd (writing pictures on it). I am proud of myself.

He are some cute pictures of Lex from the other night. I thought that they were adorable.
