What should we expect?

In the Catholic Review there is an article about how the Archbishop is praising the principals of the school recieving students from the closing schools. They still consider this a consolidation...but all in all they are closings!! The archbishop is praising these schools because they are welcoming all the students and their families with as little stress as possible. But what about he teachers... we were basically crapped on... that is the "true" christian way?!?!

My being upset is because this is a slap in the face to all the principals who did fight to keep there schools open. Our prinsipal definitely did. We overcame some major challenges and regardless of what others thought, most of us were doing everything we could to improve our school and make it more appealing for others to come. But, int he long run, I think that the decisions were made a long time ago about which schools were on the chopping block for whatever reason. But that is a whole other rant...

I think it would take a lot more the the people "downtown" who make these decisions to come and talk to us face to face... they really do not have any idea what an impact a certain school can have on a child, family, and teacher. But how could they know when they do not take the time to know a school. It is just a business... that is it, in black and white... a business. Definitely not what it once was. Preists are in it for money... I have seen some of their living arrangements- better than my own and I dod not take a vow of poverty (oh yea, niether did they).

This just plainly SUCKS!!
