This week has been much better than last week. I think that this has to do with the fact that we only have a four day week and we have an assemble tomorrow at school. This always makes the day brighter.
Today was a normal day until 4 pm. There was a cat in the building. It is a cute kitten!! I wanted to bring it home, but my cats are already mad that we are bringing home another child soon. I was literally calling EVERYONE I knew to see if they could just take the cat for the night until I could take it to Defenders of Animal Rights. When I say me taking it, I mean Scott. This place is where my kids do their service project because they do not euthanize animals. They keep them until they are adopted. It is a great place. They have wonderful cat areas and the dogs are great as well. They even take in other animals such as horses. Well my parents were going to Kitten sit and so were Melba and Millie, but at the last minute Christian, our third grade teacher was able to take it home. Her children were so excited. In fact her son talked to me for the first time. He is in second grade and he has not said one word to me since the day he was born. Today we had a great conversation!! If they for some reason cannot keep it, I will find it a home (Jen and Eddie- ha ha ha) or I will take it to Defenders.
Lex is doing well. He is getting used to the fact that mommy is back to work. Last Friday when I went to pick him up from the sitters, he told me, "back work mom". Yea, he wanted me to go back to work. I felt so loved. But I know that he loves me.
Total shock here: can you believe I will be having Jack in two months from Friday. I am scheduled for Wednesday, November 11th. It is Veterans Day, but it is more importantly the day my doctors is at the hospital for delivery. I am getting excited. But now I need to seriously think about holidays. Mom is having Thanksgiving and I am having an open house for Chirstmas. I do not want to have to take Lex away from his toys and Jack out also. I know I would not enjoy myself if we had to do this. So I am going to have an open house. If anyone wants to stop in they are more than welcome that day, that is the way I look at it.
Christmas shopping is another thing I need to get done. I have the boys gifts bought, but now I need to figure out what to get Scott and everyone else. My dad and Jason are going to London and Ireland for the break... leaving Christmas Eve so we will do somethign with them before they leave. It is going to be weird not having them around for the holidays. But mom will be here helping with the kids I am sure.
