On Sunday we began the process of getting Jacks room painted and ready to go. The crib is scheduled to be delivered Wednesday so I thought that we should try to get the room painted. The day began without Lex. He spent the night at the Grandparent Williams house. Scott got up at regular time to go to work... at the hotel. I woke up shortly after. I figure why wait. So I showered, got ready and by 8 I was getting everything ready for painting. Mom and Dad were not going to be up until around 10 a.m. I could not wait. I began cutting in the ceiling, then I figured I did all that why not start rolling the rest. By the time mom and dad were here, I was almost finished... Jack's ceiling at least. We never painted Lex's ceiling so when mom got here she taped the walls in Lex's room. I began cutting in the walls in Jack's room and began painting the walls. It was not hard because the walls are being painted white for the most part. After the first coat of primer/paint mix It was time to take a break... just a small one. We had to go to Home Depot to get another gallon od paint for the second coat on the walls in Jack's room. When we returned, we began painting Lex's ceiling. We were almost done when we needed more paint!! It figures... the ceiling had NEVER been painted, therefore it was eatting up everything we put on. I was rolling the ceiling with the paint we had while Mom ran up to the store AGAIN to get more ceiling paint. My arm hurt so bad by the time we were finished the room.
We then had dinner... I slaved all day and made pizza... well Scott picked it up on his way home from getting Lex. Yummy... Pizza!!
It was 5:45 after dinner break... why stop there. Mom and I began cutting in againt he walls in Jack's room... and painted all the walls a second time. By 7:15 we were finished. I was ready for bed!! Unfortunately, Lex was not! We decided to take him for a car ride. He fell asleep in the car... this always works like magic, then placed in him bed.. just for him to wake up two hours later and lay in our bed.
Believe it or not, I am not in pain today, and eager to ge the taping done for the stripes. I am going to try my hardest with Lex to get that task accomplished. I will try. Hopefully he will take a nap!
So I am 5 1/2 months pregnant and painted an entire room plus a ceiling in one day with help from mom. Thank god I am not swelling like I did with Lex.
