Happy Monday

I began tutoring this morning. I know that I told the parents it was from 8-10 in the morning, but at 8:30 I did not have anyone in my room so I was ready to go home. Just as I was walking out of the office one student showed up. Okay I thought... not bad. Then 30 minutes later another one showed up. They had all forgotten that they had class this morning. It turned out to be okay so I was there until 10.

After class I went to pick Lex up. He was as Mom-mom W's house. He had gone swimming in the morning and was singing kareoke when I got there. His favorite song to sing today was "Take me out the the ball game". So cute. We left for home around 10:40. Within 5 minutes he was asleep. Lex slept until I woke him up at 1:30. Let me remind everyone that Lex DOES NOT usually slep for me. I could get used to this!!

Once he woke up, we got our swim suits on grabbed some lunch and went outside to play for a while. We are now inside watching "Toy Story 2" per the request of a 2 year old. He is coloring as well. We are trying to learn to say mommy as well today. He is calling everyone ma ma. It is getting confusing.

Just as we put the movie in to watch I had a phone call from Walden University. I have to get my Masters degree in 3 years to keep my certification. It sucks. Expecially when you paid your own way through regular college and are paying off theose loans as we speak. The girl was really nice and is sending me all of the information, but when she told me the price of the entire masters program... I nearly fainted. It will cost me $12,000.00 for an online masters degree. REDICULOUS!!! I still owe more than that with one of my loans. I can of course apply for another loan, but who whats to do that when you only have 5 more years left on your other college loans. I want Lex's 7th birthday to be something to celebrate other then my baby getting older. I want to be done with the Florida Southern and Western Mayland loans. The state wants all teachers to have their masters, but they are not really helping unless you go to a county school system. Well it is a free world and it should not matter which type of school system you are working with, there should be help in getting your masters. I am definitly taking a pay cut to teach in a catholic school, keeping public schools from getting too much more over crowded... imagine if all private school (religious and nonreligious shut down)... picture it... a school building with EVEN MORE TRAILERS around it. What a wonderful site. The state could not afford to build more school. Craziness is what it is. So I have one more place to look at before making up my mind and that is Loyola College. I can get a discount there, but I need to see what programs they have for me. This is too stressfull!!!

On to baby news... Tomorrow is the day. As long as the baby cooperates we will be able to see if it is a boy or a girl. If you know me well, you know what I am praying for. I have set up a poll to see what anyone else thinks as to waht I am having. Please vote. I would like to see the general consensus.
