Up and Running

Well, I think that I am ready to begin this thing. As I stated in the "About Me" section I have decided to start this blog to keep in touch with my clostest friends who happen to live out of state. Also seeing I am taking graduate credits in technology it cannot hurt to have this. I am also doing a blog for a book club at the school I teach. I am hoping that it helps students communicate their ideas without felling so much pressure.

Well this weekend we have been very busy. We are just about finished painting the entire house and making other repairs. On Saturday while my dad and I were painting the volted ceiling in the master bedroom, Scott, Lex and my mom were digging up bushes and trimming other ones in the front of the house. Scott also tried to mow the lawn, but the lawn mower broke. Another thing to add to the "We Need" list. We also have th corner cabinet painted and put back together after sanding it and doing many coats of paint. It looks great I must say. Now all I have to do is finish unpacking. That is going to take some time.

Today I painted the stairwell and the hallway in the upstairs. I must say after realizing that we may need to hire someone to do this job, I am glad the guy at Lowes helped my mom find the right tool to do the cutting in in the areas that are not able to be reached without scafolding. I will have pictures up tomorrow hopefully of the house.

Lex was a real trooper this weekend also. He kept us all busy and even got his first boo boo. He was really not hurt that bad, just tripped over his own two feet. He was fine after he blew all the hurt away and then enjoyed the rest of his walk. Tomorrow we are going to relax by the little pool in the back yard and just take the day for ourselves.

I am hoping to keep this pretty much up- to- date. I go back to school on August 21, so we will see how much I can accomplish. Let me know what you think. I am also keeping my MySpace page so you can look at that also.
